St. Philip’s Plaza provides a picturesque backdrop for Tucson’s flagship farmers’ market. Regional farmers, ranchers, and artisan food producers fill over 60 spaces.

2012 celebrates the Market’s 13th anniversary, with nearly 70 vendors, a year-round season, and over 3,000 weekly shoppers. The Tucson Farmers’ Market has become one of the largest farmers’ markets in Southwestern Arizona and has a regional reputation for the number of local farmers it supports, its high quality farm products, the diversity of local products on hand, its strong integrity, outstanding local festivals, and special events. Adventure Coffee Roasting – At Adventure Coffee Roasting, we roast only certified, organically grown coffee in very small batches, guaranteeing product freshness and consistency. More than 95% of our beans are certified Fair Trade. And we like this niche we’re in. Because we are a boutique roaster, we have the liberty to choose only the finest Arabica green coffees on the planet, roast them to their “sweet spots”, then deliver them to our friends in Tucson

Anna’s Kitchen – Too busy to cook?  Anna’s Kitchen is serving up delicious frozen casseroles.  Choose from a great variety such as quiche, chicken florentine, beef stroganoff, and more.

Aravaipa Heirlooms – We cultivate local, desert-adapted, and endangered heirloom vegetable plants. We specialize in varieties boarded on Slow Food USA’s Ark of Taste (for exceptional flavor and risk of extinction), and those that are red listed as imperiled by the Renewing America’s Food Traditions (RAFT) Alliance. All plants are organically grown and all are open-pollinated (no hybrids, and no GMOs). Currently we offer 44 varieties of heirloom tomato plants and 22 varieties of chile pepper plants, available at local farmers’ markets. Arizona Emu Oil Products – Barbara and Bill Johnson produce lotions and soaps from the oil of emus that they farm. They also sell emu eggs and peacock feathers. All of their emu oil is rendered by Texas A & M and housed here in Tucson. Barbara explains emu oil is good for joint and muscle pain, burns and as a moisturizer for cracked fingers and heels.

Arizona Outback Emu Oil Co. – Arizona Outback began experimenting with the oil and developed their own recipes for handmade soaps by trial and error sharing samples among friends, and includes a line of lotions made with emu oil, goat milk and other fine oil.

Arizona Rub – Arizona Rub is a family of premium dry rubs and seasonings created for BBQ enthusiasts and anyone who likes spending time in the kitchen. Great on beef, pork, chicken and fish, Arizona Rub adds fantastic flavor to food without adding fillers or artificial ingredients. Arizona Sprouthouse – The Arizona Sprouthouse is located in Tucson in the eastern foothills adjacent to the Saguaro National Park.  Our operation specializes in providing microgreens, shoots, sprouts, and wheatgrass to the many Tucson Farmers’ markets.  Our soil is certified organic and all of our seed is certified organic. We apply only natural growing techniques,  sun and water!  We continuously strive to produce a wide range of flavors, currently offering thirteen varieties, and are always incorporating new ones.  From the beginning, Arizona Sprouthouse has aimed to provide the community with nutritionally dense food, growth with sustainable practices at a reasonable cost to our customers.

Big Skye Bakers – Big Skye Bakers is based in Tucson, Arizona. We bake with all-natural mesquite flour. We offer gluten-free products and big pies (special order), and all of our products are handmade with care.

Bird’s Nest Baking Company – Bird’s Nest Baking Company offers all natural breakfast pastries, granola, scones, coffee cakes, cookies and cupcakes using locally sourced, all natural and organic ingredients. We specialize in fresh, delicious wholesome baked goods you can feel good about eating.

Bob’s Roasters – Specializing in small batch vegetable roasting at the market. Offering roasted green chile varieties, bell peppers, corn, garlic and eggplant. Large scale corn & chile roasting is also available for contract.

BX Ranch – From Cochise, AZ, the B-X Ranch offers pork, beef, lamb, and eggs. The the lamb and eggs come from the ranch and the pork and beef are from Texas.

Chiva Risa - We strive to make the finest handcrafted cheese possible.  With health, nutrition, and flavor foremost.  We use no routine antibiotics or hormones, feed no GMO, no corn or soy.  Our batches are small, about 25-35 gallons, and we process everything by hand with limited equipment.

Desert Oasis Soap Co. – “Our whole idea is to be as fresh and natural as you can possibly be,” says Greg Richardson, co-owner of the local Desert Oasis Soap Co. a Tucson-area business striving to provide clean products including soaps, lotions, moisturizers and oils. Their company now offers lip balms, bath salts, foot scrubs, body mists and bug spray, as well as natural dog treats.

Desert Treasure Citrus Groves – Tucson’s only remaining operating orange grove providing over 10 varieties of locally grown citrus products that include: oranges, lemons, limes, tangerines, tangelos and kumquats.

Desert Tortoise Botanicals – Operating in Tucson since 2005, we offer ethically wild crafted and organically grown hand-crafted botanical including specific tinctures, salves, oils, syrups and teas.

Double Check Ranch Natural Beef is raised on the Double Check Ranch, 60 miles north of Tucson. It is a family operation, where three generations of the Schwennesen family live and work. From “pasture to palate,” we control every aspect of the product you eat. The beef we produce are custom cut at an artisan’s level in our own packing house on the ranch so your meat is as natural, wholesome and local as you can find. We consider our beef “Beyond Organic.”

Dr Hummus – Doctor Hummus decided to use his grandmother’s old style recipes to create Healthy, Natural, North African and Middle Eastern food that is so good for you, that you can eat as much as you like. Doctor Hummus takes pride in his products. He has created hummus, pita chips, and dips.

Durazo’s Poco Loco Specialty Salsas – The Salsa Lady offers a variety of fresh fruit salsas with peaches, pineapple, and mangoes. All made with ten different kinds of chilies which come in three different heat levels including Mild, Hot and Stupid Hot. Other specialties include green chile pico de gallo, a fresh ceviche, a crab and shrimp dip and guacamole. We are chemical and pesticide free with some organic offerings.

Fiore di Capra - Grade A Raw Goat Milk, Award Winning Raw and Pasteurized Goat Cheese.   Goat’s Milk Feta, Queso Fresco, Ricotta, Bloomy Rind Goat Cheeses and a large assortment of fresh Chevres are available.  Our Cranberry, Orange and Crushed Walnut Dessert Torte won a Gold Medal and makes a delicious appetizer and a great hostess gift.  Our fresh Chevre is sold in classic logs or buttons, as spreads or marinated with herbs and spices.   We have a wide variety of flavors to choose from.  Try our other Gold Medal Winner-Cinnamon Vanilla Cajeta, or Goat’s Milk Caramel Sauce!  Our Cajeta is available in 6 flavors and it pairs beautifully with our Goat’s Milk Ice Cream.  Our ice cream is made with our Grade A Goat Milk and Farm Fresh Eggs. Fire on the Mountain – Fire on the Mountain, Inc. specializes in original products made with green chile. Our signature product, Green Chile Stew, was developed for people “on the go”. We call it a “meal in a jar” because of the easy preparation involved. It is a hearty meat flavored stew that can easily be enhanced by adding the meat of your choice. Just heat, serve, and most important, ENJOY! Our green chile vinaigrette salad dressing has a sweet flavor with a subtle green chile aftertaste. Grammy’s Garden – Grammy has been offering her artisan jams, jellies, chutneys, mustards, and pickles for several years. Leo Big D Farms - Our farm is located in beautiful Cochise County. Leo has been farming for 83 years first in Michigan, then California and now starting the 4th season in Arizona. We grow all of our produce ourselves the natural way without pesticides. We grow asparagus, onions, many cucumber varieties, dill, okra, sweet corn, many tomato varieties, carrots, squash and pumpkins. We also grow fruit: apricots, peaches, apples cantaloupes and watermelons.

Living Blessed – We offer a wonderful moisturizer that is derived from plant nutrients.  In addition, we also have a insect repellant that is natural and planted based.  On a side note, all of our packaging is done by adults with cognitive disabilities.

Markley Farms – Our specialty is tomatoes.  We carry two varieties of Beefsteak, five varieties of cherry tomatoes, six heirloom varieties, and a yellow acid free tomato. We also offer nine types of headed lettuce, a baby lettuce mix and spinach.

Maya Tea Company – A local loose-leaf tea company with a complete line-up of black, green, herbal, oolong and chai teas. The Maya Tea Company carries many common varieties and original signature blends of loose-leaf tea, they personally select high grade teas from India, China, Taiwan, and Japan along with many herbal blends that meet their exacting standards. Everything is flavored, blended and packed in small batches to ensure quality, consistency and freshness.

Mountain Sunshine Eggs - We believe in happy chickens, fed organic feed, and producing the finest eggs.

Peppermint Jim – We are fourth generation mint farmers hailing from the oldest mint farm in the US, the Crosby mint farm  in Michigan.  We have expanded to Arizona and now have our own product line with mint as the main ingredient.  In the summer we feature fresh mint, but also have a line of body care products, soil amendment and other gardening products. Also, of course our fresh farm produced and artisan distilled mint oil.

Terry’s Apiaries - Fred Terry’s Apiaries has been serving Arizona residents with skin cream, candles and honey for 35 years. The candles are made with all-natural bee products, and the skin cream is made of beeswax, propolis (which is collected by the bees) and borax, a natural mineral that “has been used medicinally for thousands of years.”

Tortilleria Arevalo – Mesquite flour tortillas and un-sweetened mesquite cookies, apple-sweetened mesquite bread, mesquite meal. Corn tortillas and tamales (green corn, beef, chicken and pork) made with local green chile and tamale corn from Ochoa Farm.

Van Haren Meat Co. – Family owned and operated in San Manuel, Arizona, we offer natural farm raised lamb and goat products.

Vermillion Wormery – We return organic ‘waste’ to the soil food web using worms, a process known as VERMICOMPOSTING. We envision vermicomposting as an important step to reaching Zero Organic Waste. We’ve found that a good place to start is right in our own homes, community, and region.

Village Bake House – We offer a variety of artisan breads baked fresh daily. Village Bakehouse specializes in an assortment of made from scratch pastries, muffins, pies and specialty treats.

Walking J Farms – Walking J Farm is a diverse, sustainable farm nestled in the watershed of the Santa Cruz River Valley in southern Arizona – a true polyculture farm.

We B’ Jamin’ Farm - My jam tastes just like your grandma’s. Because I use certified Organic or no-spray fruits and berries, pure cane sugar, no corn syrup or beet sugar, and an all natural pectin. I use NO artificial ingredients. My goal is to make Jam that is good for you and still taste good. My products are made in a commercial kitchen right on our farm in Tucson.

West Wind Seed Company – All our seeds are open pollinated, chemically untreated and nonGMO. The majority of our seeds are heirloom. We specialize in finding varieties that perform well in extreme climates. With that said, our seeds are a favorite for many gardeners and we hope to be a part of your gardening experience, whether you are a master gardener or new to the joy of growing your own food.

White Cane Sockeye Salmon - White Cane Sockeye Salmon’s  Randy Houghton, is a commercial fisherman in Bristol Bay, Alaska.  They sell frozen filets of Alaskan Sockeye Salmon.  They are completely boned and individually vacuum-sealed.

Wild Rose Coffee – I use an antique Diederich Drum Roaster with coffee oil coating the drum. My dark roasting style uses the 3’s method – sight, smell and sound – of dumping and cooling each roast and I put 25 years of roasting experience into every batch.

Xocolatl Oaxacan Chocolate – xocolatl is chocolate from the source, and travels to you from the cloud forest of Oaxaca, Mexico – a short journey from where cacao trees were first domesticated over two thousand years ago.  Prepared in small batches by a family who has been making chocolate the traditional way, by hand, for generations.  Our chocolate is hand rolled into sticks using toasted cacao beans, pure cane sugar, cinnamon and a hint of ground almonds.  These basic ingredients create a unique chocolate experience that makes a truly authentic cup of Mexican hot chocolate  rarely found outside the colonial streets of Ciudad de Oaxaca.  Un pequeno tesoro for the chocolate connoisseur.  Visit us at the market or online at www.xocobean.com
